About us
We’re not world famous…yet! But, if we were it’d be for all our crazy extras, exciting facilities, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. We love travelling and we love Taiwan. Taiwan has a lot of cheap hotels but very few real international hostels. So, Hearts Hostel is our chance to show you the Taiwan we know and love. If you're looking for inspiration, we can help you make the best of your stay here. From our own facilities like our climbing wall, inflatables, football and basketball court to the town’s best food stalls or Sushi, the best surf spot or quietest part of the beach, the most spiritual temples to hard drinking dens - we know the area very well.
Explore on one of our bikes, or join us on a free walking tour (usually once a week), check special events with our blog or follow our mini guide to Jhunan. And when you need a break from your wanderings you can relax in the hostel; watch a movie on our projector, shoot some pool, play air hockey and mingle with some fellow travelers or some of the westerners and Taiwanese always on site. We've got modern rooms, the full cable TV package in our common room, laundry facilities, a coffee shop downstairs with an excellent stereo, and lots more unbelievable facilities. Less like a typical hostel and more like staying in a (very, very rich) friend's flat.
The educational side of our work has no real backlash on the hostel side of things it just means we can afford to have better facilities. If we have a camp booked then the hostel will be fully booked. We don’t have guests and students at the same time – luckily for everyone.
